FROM CANVAS TO FORMETTES
My Story

I am Agathe Cornet-Vernet, painter.
Trained from childhood, I ran a painting studio in Paris for 14 years.
In 2017, I moved to Lisbon. While painting azulejos on my canvases, I felt the need to trace the patterns more easily. A cut-out shape. A tool was born: Formettes.
Imagined from the gesture of a painter, Formettes have become a playful and accessible method for freely creating geometric patterns: azulejos, mandalas, arabesques.
I believe that everyone has the ability to create. Drawing is a path to self-discovery, to others, and to the world.
A Universal Vision
I design kits inspired by the characteristic shapes of different countries — tools that can be combined and connected.
A universal vision:
A line can connect cultures, just as it can connect humans with the living world. It helps me build harmony between people and nature.
Today, I lead workshops in Lisbon with participants from all over the world. I also train those who wish to bring Formettes to life across the globe.
Since their creation, more than 6,000 people have experienced this method — in workshops, schools, and therapeutic settings.
